FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Of course you are different, Brett. You shoot 1800rpm water cooled monsters that glow red and catch on fire. I have seen the videos;). So the notion of a .22lr OOB or even a .223 OOB is a yawner to you.

NASCAR drivers catch air and flip 20 feet in the air... but that doesn't make it common other than for those within their small circle. Keep in mind most people ain't in your circle, my friend.

Are you saying I'm fun to hang out with...lol

By the way, does the rifle range near u allow belt fed toys.. cause if it does I'm going to bring 1 of my little friends when I get down that way

I mostly go to Prentice Cooper for rifles which is a state park. But my next door neighbor cop is a member of the Chattanooga Rifle Club that allows everything. We'll do it

I think if the gun cost $250-300 we would be asking too much, we'd be asking too much, but at the cost they ARE at, its not too much to expect flawless behavior. I will say, ive got about 1000 rounds through mine and I must say, it seems to have a break-in period. (at least mine did) my last 300 or so rounds have been 100%.

I don't believe they have a break in period. I've now got over 1,700 rounds through mine and I have only had a few FTF's, and a couple of rounds that didn't fire because I modified the hammer spring and now it doesn't strike hard enough sometimes and it needs to be replaced.

obviously its a case per case thing. a few people have reported the same experience ive had.

I recently had a chance to speak with the S&W people about 15-22 spare parts. The explanation somewhat satisified me, "the gun has a lifetime repair warranty, that's why we don't have spare parts for retail sale now or in the near future". Well yea, good point, they do parts and maintenance for free. Maybe we're just spoiled and want everything right now cause we can't wait.

They will repair it on their dime, EXCEPT(there are exception to the exception) if you modify the gun mechanically. IE, trigger jobs, replacing hammers, bolts, triggers, or internals with aftermarket parts. Add ons such as lights, scopes, rails, etc are OK. Fool around with the mechanics, the warranty is void, if they want it to be. At best, they'll bring it back to factory specs and keep your non-spec parts.

You didn't mention it... but I think I remember Beck sending his back in with a threaded barrel without a fuss.

IF AFTER READING OF THE HUNDREDS OF PROBLEMS AND COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESE GUNS AND YOU STILL FORK OUT YOUR MONEY FOR ONE YOU SHOULD NOT BLAME ANYONE BUT YOURSELF . IF EVERYONE QUIT BUYING THEM I BET THEY WOULD FIX THEM WHERE THEY WORKED .
