??? for military retirees.

I guess it depends on what you did and when you went in.

My best bud was forced out with Covid Vax nonsense just short of 20. He went from enlisted to major. From infantry to Spec Ops. Physically, he's a mess. I don't know what all his issues are but I do know that he has back problems, crunchy knees and his hearing is shot. Then there's the chronic pain. 100% disabled. Nearly 20 years, four Purple Hearts and he was forced out because he refused the shot after his wife had severe complications from her first shot - and she's still dealing with them. He's in a bad spot. He's angry and bitter - I don't blame him. He has a lawsuit against the .gov and I hope he wins.

I'm 10 years older than him and I'm in better shape in every way. I wouldn't trade my health for all that he's went through and all he's going through or his future health problems.

USAF retired in Jan '04 after 20 years active duty and 9 months of delayed entry time as a MSgt. Did a second career for 16 years and decided to retire early at 55 during the COVID downturn at work. I'm very happy with the choice, we live on my military retirement supplemented by my savings and wife's social security. I'll be able to start drawing off my work 401k later this winter. I'll hold off on my social security until later. Having Tricare for life is a huge benefit that allows us to enjoy a modest retirement.

Accepting members into the unit for all of us old retired military folks.
