When you first carry your weapon whatever it might be you will be paranoid that everyone in the world knows that you are carrying, and this is normal and it will pass if you use proper clothing and holsters.

You should always avoid circumstances that might allow your weapon to be seen, either that or use a better concealment garment like a vest or untucked tee shirt or any other garmet depending on the time of year.

The first time you carry your weapon you will be quite concious of the fact but no one else around you will so do not be overly concerned, after a little while of carrying it will become second nature like something you always do like breathe or eat.

Biwdays many people are new to carrying a weapon daily to work at home and elsewhere of course having been carrying for 38 years this is just my normal self, and most people do not know I am armed.

If you carry always have a round in the chamber because in the hopefully unlikely event you do have to use your weapon to defend yourself your family or others you need your weapon to fire as soon as you can draw it and pull the trigger which I found out the hard way.

So not try to be a cop unless you are one and avoid bad places and people. I you see a fight between two or more people and you see a weapon involved sty away from the situation it could be an undercover policeman and what if you shoot him???

Use your head and be careful and use your weapon only if you truly believe that if you do not that you will die!

We were leaving the house one day and my wife asked me if I had my gun. I figured that since she knows where I carry it and didn't notice it, chances are nobody else will.
When I first started carrying I felt like I had a gigantic gun shaped lump on my hip and everyone saw it and knew what it was.

Everyone who starts to carry concealed has the same feeling that everyone can see the gun, or "knows" they are carrying. In reality, virtually no one ever notices anything. While I waited for my CC permit I carried at home all the time. My family never noticed the gun...and that was for about 3 months! When my permit came I showed my wife how my Old Faithful IWB holster worked. She asked when I bought it...I told her three months ago and I have been using it every day at home. She just looked at me with a "you've gotta be kidding me" look. It was priceless.

If you are properly clothed and careful while carrying, no one will ever know...and that's the way you want it!!
