I happened to go on Scheel's web site last night.Went looking for primers By the time I got done I had purchased 4000 primers. Including 1000 CCI LRPs, 2000 SPPs and 1000 SRPs the prices were all at $69.95 per M. But they had a code for 25 dollars off over 150 dollar purchase. And I had a 25 dollar gift card...no shipping but I will pick them up today in Billings. No tax in Montana. not a real cheap price except on L Rifles but they had 'em

Good deal

Thank you for the “Heads Up”.

Lately I have noticed that Scheels has
been having reasonable prices on
reloading stuff and ammo.

I’m still going to wait on buying primers.

Thanks again!

They just opened a mega-store here in the Phoenix suburb of Chandler.
Dang thing has a 40-foot ferris wheel inside...it's that big.
Selection is huge, but I am am dumbfounded at their high-prices on used guns.

70 per m is not bad but as I get older, I am starting to shoot less
and the 500 rounds a go are not happening any more.

They will have to come down to $60, before I fall off the fence.

Unfortunately Billings and one other store has them in stock.

Oh well, It was worth a try. As far as price I bought 4000 primers. which equates to 6.25 off per 1000 primers...then I had the 25 dollar gift card....another 6.25 off. Right at $57.00 per M. Would have been better if you could buy more than a 1000 of each type..but I don't load all that many LRs these days. I didn't check ammo sale prices.

Folks on other boards have been bemoaning the dearth of LR primers. They should be very easy to swap off for a size you want/need more.

Yeah.. I'm going to keep 500...trade or sell the rest..But don't need any more primers...or powder for that matter. Think I am going to sell most of my casting equipment too. I've got 8 or 9 bullet molds new in the boxes. Doubt I'll use 'em now. Only LR primers I'll use is probably for 243 and maybe some 308s...but I found some 308 Lapua match yesterday...old stock but 13 boxes for the cost of the price tags on the boxes...7.99...and got two bullet molds but 32 caliber...both single cavity...one hollow point but no HP pin...20 dollars each. Lady found the stuff in a cabinet in the garage...nothing else though. The molds are going to go to CB site I think...all of them...Sizers too. Should be able to buy enough cast bullets for my life. ..with what I have. I may even sell most of the presses too after I load the 38s and 223s I have ready

Wife needed new slippers so today while in Omaha, we went to Scheels.
While she shopped for slippers, I checked out the gun department. They have Winchester large rifle primers, the red box, for $159.99/1000. I don't need any, but even if I did, I would have walked away.
