Sounds like a proposal that would really tickle the jihadists bunch. If regular people give up their assault rifles (whatever that means) only the jihadis would have assault rifles. Instead of focusing on the criminals, people like Hilary are focusing on guns. Passing feel good laws that don't do dip to prevent CRIMINALS from using guns only serves to turn the rest of the honest law abiding nation into a nation of sheep.

After the California Muslim terrorist attack, CNN had a so called expert on telling people how to "fightback" in an active shooter situation. His advice on "fighting back" consisted of telling people to cower in a corner and try to make themselves invisible. From the nation that produced the Greatest Generation we have become the nation of cowards told to hide and cower. Pathetic.

One thing to watch out for is the clamp coming down on ammo supplies and other gun related sundries. Rumor has it the White House is going to do something via executive order. The "other side" is looking for a simple solution to a complex problem and reacting in an extremely naïve fashion. Nothing new here.

I too think something restricting, taxing or permitting of ammo is in the cards, and not out of the "other side's" naivete, but out of their malevolence. Those people are engaging in a for-now soft tyranny, and I think would happily go right over to a hard tyranny if we become disarmed.
Their efforts have nothing to do with public safety, any more than the 2nd amendment is about hunting and target shooting.

Law-abiding citizens giving up their guns just because bad guys sometimes use guns to commit crimes is a little bit like getting a vasectomy because your neighbor has too many kids.
