I found this post-war Outdoorsman in a collection I'm helping with. It was virtually devoid of finish but the metal and mechanics were perfect. I couldn't bear to sell it as a shooter grade so I got in touch with Larna at Ford's Refinishing and several months later we have this Ford's Pinto!

Did they also re-do the case coloring on the hammer and trigger?
f.t.

The original case colors on the hammer and trigger looked OK but since the finished pinto would look new I thought the hammer and trigger should be re-done. Ford's has purchased all the equipment necessary to do their own case hardening but they are still in the R&D stage. This hammer and trigger was sent out to be done.

I was expecting an exploding economy car from the 70s with a pop-up camper. This is much nicer.

He'll just have to protect it from any rear-end impacts.

The frame looks good, but two-tone guns just don't do it for me.

That's just individual taste, the workmanship looks good and only one person has to like it: the one paying for it.

Rick:

I love the pintos and the Outdoorsmans and together they make quite a package.

Congrats, and thanks for sharing that beauty,
