So in looking around the forums it seems like alot of you use the tubed shaped foregrip with the bipod legs that pull out. The only thing is I hate the way it looks and like the foregrips with the finger grooves.

So I found a couple that I like but the reviews are mixed. At first I was looking to get this one that seems to be a knock off of a Mako model only at about half the price.

the only thing is that alot of people complained about it easily deploying as the button to release the legs are too sensitive and in a bad spot so they tend to accidentally pop out when grabbing the grip. The legs also sometimes do not deploy fully extended and you have to then push another button to get them to extended. This seems to happen on even the more expensive Mako model.

Then I found this one which seems pretty nice but there are no reviews and it's shipped from China. I do like the quick release latch to be able to take it off easily but not sure if it'll have the same issue as the other one mentioned above. It does seem to have the leg style as the tube one that most everyone has here instead of the split in half style as the one above.

Does anyone know of one like this but sold here in the states? If so, what is your experience with it. Again, i'm looking for something with a molded grip style instead of the round plain tubular style.
 
Look for the GPS-02 grip pod... if its good enough for the military then its good enough for me...i have one on one of my ARs and it works great.

There are a lot of counterfeit and "airsoft" GripPods on the market that are total junk. The real deal (GPS-02) with metal reinforced legs is GTG. My issue with them is that the broomstick vertical foregrip is not a good way to grip the weapon. I came to prefer a MagPul AFG with a conventional Harris bipod and sold all of the GripPods (OK, except one).

+1 on the legit product...i actually do like a vertical grip so to say it is not a good way to grip the weapon is a little bias... i use the thumb break method with my vertical grips... works great for me... i cant stand AFGs

Yes, I know. This is the one that most everyone uses but I just hate the way it looks.

And yes, I know about the knock off ones as well which is why i'm looking for something in the $50-$70 range. I just can't justify spending $100+ for one.

There's got to be a proven decent one out there with a molded type foregrip. Might give the seond one a try if I can't find anything similar.

So how do these deploy? Do you just twist the end cap and they spring out or just slide out? Doesn't look like they are height adjustable right?

with the push of a button (backside of pod below rail)... spring loaded... look in the link i posted and you will see the button right below where it attaches to the rail
 
I have the second one and i'm not very fond of it. The button on the side is a PITA and mine doesn't like to stay locked in the vertical position, plus the legs aren't very stable and short. With a long mag in it won't hold the rifle up if your not holding on to it. My son did it this weekend and it rolled right off the table.

I left out "in my opinion" thinking it was obviously my opinion. All opinions are biased - in my opinion - including yours that you cannot stand AFG's.

I sold five GPS-02's at Airsoft prices because I wasn't satisfied with the broomstick FG.

Didn't think of that, it does look a couple of inches shorter than the GPS-02.

Does anyone know of maybe a removable/adjustable bipod with like a quick release latch type system so that it can be easily attached/clipped on and taken off?

I'm thinking of now getting this foregrip and getting a dedicated bipod behind it that can be attached/detached quickly. And if it folds, even better.

I think this might be the closest to what i'm looking for. Although I don't know if by releasing the attachment level if it will allow me to remove it without having to slide it down the end of the rails or if it will come off from the point where it's at.

I have the BPG grip pod and like it but it is annoying when it releases prematurely. I was thinking about modifying it by creating a lip just below the release buttons to prevent accidental releases.
 
I bought mine on eBay 10.00 push button spring loaded metal reinforced legs works great come from china but for 10.00 bucks it works great.

From the looks of it you have to unscrew the knob to be able to slide it off the rail right? Or do you push down on that button and it just comes off downward?

I think I found what i'm looking for in this one. There is a metal version out but I need to verify if that is a button up front that you just push to unclip it from the rail.

purchased this one back in sep, has held up well for me, i understand it's probably considered airsoft version but i am not planning on taking this rifle to combat and had a hard time justifying the $ for others.

So the one I posted last seems to be a Knock off of the NCStar quick release bipod. Seems like some other brands make it too for around the same price but NCStar is the one that comes up most in the search for quick release bipod. I like the fact that it's metal and not plastic and has the quick release button type removal system that I was looking for. So going to try it out.

Command arms makes a very nice bipod, where the legs completely detatch... And on the bottom side of the mount has another picitany rail so that you can add any type of forgrip you choose..
I have the mako brand also grip/bipod, and it works okay....
But the command arms one is the best out of all the ones I pwesonally have tried ...
The command arms bipod however is a little more than you might be looking to spend..
FYI, I placed my order back in November, and have been on a waiting list for their product, and finally just received it lat week....
I've gotta say tho, it is very nicely made, as it should be, for what it costs....lol...

And yeah, it looks really nice and rugged but way over the price i'm looking for to put on a 22. I'm not looking to go into battle right now. Just something I can make better shots with while at the range or just messing around outside.

My main thing was I wanted something that I can take off or put on quickly with the push of a button as I didn't want to mess with knobs I had to turn to screw onto the rail. Snap on Snap off but yet sturdy. I'm going to try that NCStar. I will post up a review once I get it. Thanks for all the input.

I rolled the dice on this one from Amazon for $11.79...

I was shocked at how nice and sturdy it is! Fits snug, feels solid and works just fine. Every once in a while I will take a chance on a cheapo and its usually a bad deal. This one is fine enough for me as I am not in any type of combat...

Those last two seem to be the ones that i've seen alot on this site and are pretty cheap. I just don't like that "broom stick" style look as another member posted earlier. I really like the foregrip with finger groove look but the ones i've posted earlier have their own issues with ejecting by accident since the release button is in a bad place.

So i've decided to just get a dedicated bipod with a quick release button and a dedicated foregrip I found with a light/laser built in with a trigger on/off switch. I think I got my add-ons chosen that I found in the pictures thread. Think i'm going to go with the CAA pistol grip, butt stock with adjustable cheek rest. Flip up sights, red dot and scope will finish it off. Going to take a while to get everything but can't wait till it's complete.
 
I got the Mako Gen 2 Tpod G2PR. I found it cheapest on amazon. It may be overkill but I really like it. It's super sturdy and it has traverse and pivot.

I have this one as well, very happy with it!! Can't beat the price, no probs so far!
 
My Promag 10 round longs showed up today they do not work with the bipod that I have but the OEM one does
 
Still looking myself and just can't make up my mind. Can you provide a link for the one purchased on Amazon for $12 bucks?
