Foregrip bipod

Command arms makes a very nice bipod, where the legs completely detatch... And on the bottom side of the mount has another picitany rail so that you can add any type of forgrip you choose..
I have the mako brand also grip/bipod, and it works okay....
But the command arms one is the best out of all the ones I pwesonally have tried ...
The command arms bipod however is a little more than you might be looking to spend..
FYI, I placed my order back in November, and have been on a waiting list for their product, and finally just received it lat week....
I've gotta say tho, it is very nicely made, as it should be, for what it costs....lol...

I'm assuming your talking about this one?
NBP - Command Arms Accessories
And yeah, it looks really nice and rugged but way over the price i'm looking for to put on a 22. I'm not looking to go into battle right now. Just something I can make better shots with while at the range or just messing around outside.

My main thing was I wanted something that I can take off or put on quickly with the push of a button as I didn't want to mess with knobs I had to turn to screw onto the rail. Snap on Snap off but yet sturdy. I'm going to try that NCStar. I will post up a review once I get it. Thanks for all the input.

CAA bipod

Yep, that's the one....
Like, I was saying too,
I also have the mako one as well...
For the money, that one works just fine ....

I rolled the dice on this one from Amazon for $11.79...

I was shocked at how nice and sturdy it is! Fits snug, feels solid and works just fine. Every once in a while I will take a chance on a cheapo and its usually a bad deal. This one is fine enough for me as I am not in any type of combat...

Those last two seem to be the ones that i've seen alot on this site and are pretty cheap. I just don't like that "broom stick" style look as another member posted earlier. I really like the foregrip with finger groove look but the ones i've posted earlier have their own issues with ejecting by accident since the release button is in a bad place.

So i've decided to just get a dedicated bipod with a quick release button and a dedicated foregrip I found with a light/laser built in with a trigger on/off switch. I think I got my add-ons chosen that I found in the pictures thread. Think i'm going to go with the CAA pistol grip, butt stock with adjustable cheek rest. Flip up sights, red dot and scope will finish it off. Going to take a while to get everything but can't wait till it's complete.

I got the Mako Gen 2 Tpod G2PR. I found it cheapest on amazon. It may be overkill but I really like it. It's super sturdy and it has traverse and pivot.

I have this one as well, very happy with it!! Can't beat the price, no probs so far!

Still looking myself and just can't make up my mind. Can you provide a link for the one purchased on Amazon for $12 bucks?

I've got the GPS-02 as well and absolutely love it. I can see where some people don't like the looks of it, but as far as function goes it does everything I need it to. I looked into the Mako Bipod/grip but decided against it because of the fact that you can't grip it while the Bipod is deployed. I like being able to still use my Grippod as a VFG even while the legs are deployed. Here's a link to a $20 one on Amazon. Could work decent, I don't know. But for those on the fence a $20 gamble isn't bad. I still suggest getting the real deal, but I know not everyone wants to spend that. Don't buy knockoffs of our T-Pod bipod grips.

We have seen all of them because they get "returned" to us regularly when they break, and they will break, sooner rather than later.

They have been seized and turned over to us as well, and we have found that probably more than half do not function right out of the box.

The polymer that is used in the G2 Tpods is sourced from Switzerland and is the strongest in the world for that application. It is actually quite expensive compared to other polymers, but is necessary to give the bipods their necessary rigidity and strength. If the wrong polymer was used, the legs would flex and would not deploy. The Chinese knockoffs are even worse - they are made from PVC. The legs often don't deploy, or only partially deploy, they rattle back and forth when in grip configuration, the spring kink, and the PVC breaks after very little use. Also, the aluminum? in the legs is so soft that the notches start to round off with the first use, and soon are a mess.

Unfortunately, the fake grips are often sold as ours at our normal prices (the sellers get the fakes for $18-$25) and the result is that people buy them unknowingly. We replaced T-PODs for a special forces unit when the fake T-PODs that they purchased as the real thing through a trusted source all began breaking immediately. That is no joke - people can die from that sort of thing.

When you look at these bipods, you need to look at the purpose. The GPS was designed so that SAW gunners have a much better option for CQB than they had previously.

The T-POD was designed for a designated marksman role in a CQB environment, to function as a full-featured precision bipod. It could be used for a machine gun, but is more complicated than necessary for this role, and the GripPods are probably a better choice for SAWs and the T-POD is a better choice for precision shooting.

As far as functioning as a grip while being used as a bipod, this is not necessary or desirable for precision shooting - generally the shooter will hold the stock with his support hand or if the bipod need to be held for some reason, the shooter should hold the very bottom of one of the legs.

If the T-POD suddenly needs to be used as a foregrip, just grabbing the T-POD will close it into a grip and you can do what you need to and collapse the legs when you have time.

Again, don't buy a knockoff GripPod either - get the real thing. It is unethical to support those who are stealing their designs; you are basically also stealing if you buy them, and the fakes will break. I have seen tons of broken ones.

Thanks for these words. I am amazed at how many posts I've read here where folks are bragging about buying cheap Chinese knockoffs. Even if you don't consider the difference in quality, why would anyone want to support thieves who disregard our laws regarding property rights?
