Yep, did it again. A JM 625 has been on the radar ever since I discovered the joys of shooting revolvers with moon clips, just 2 months ago. Stopped by one of the local enablers and there it was, just sitting there minding it's own business. Well, it is now mine! Gave it a quick clean at the range, loaded up the 5, yes FIVE, moon clips and went down stairs to the range. Fired off about 25 rounds with the Shield first to warm up. Now for the 625. Stuck an orange dot on the bulls-eye of a target, old eyes you see, ran it out to 25 feet, took aim and fired. Blew the orange dot clear off the target with the very first shot! Dead center! Dang lucky or the sights are dead on. Put about 30 rounds down range and all were in or near the black. This was free hand, no rest. This gun is certainly a handful and will probably change out the smooth JM stocks for something with finger grooves. Certainly is a fun piece though!

Congrats on the new 625! I love mine! I recommend Ahrends Tactical Fingergrooves.

Swee-eet!

Don't feel too bad, a 642 followed me out of Academy this morning. And I feel real bad about it, too... or sumpin'.

There is a BNIB 625-2 1988 5 inch for private sale here locally here for $900. I'm ruminating.

I have put more sets of grips on my 625JM than any other gun I have. Grippers felt great, but came up with these from ebay. I am not a fan at all of finger groove grips. These do work! Bob

Jerry might like those smooth grip ,with corn starch. I shot about 12 rounds with them before I put ugly rubber grips back on my 625.. Of course I ain't no Jerry Miculek either..

Really cool gun,, have fun. :)
