Forgive me...I have strayed into Glock world

It's interesting the ideas we have about various gun manufacturers BEFORE we ever shoot a gun. For me, growing up, it was 'Colt' because of the western shows, and 'Smith & Wesson' probably because of the bumper stickers on pick-up trucks (lots of pick-ups in East Texas). When I noticed semi-autos, it was 'Glock', probably from detective movies?

But after owning a few different brands, and talking with a lot of gun owners, I know now that it's almost all personal preference. The only person I knew who carried when I was younger, carried a Glock, and I'm sure he would never have touched anything else. My FFL is a Sig Sauer man and you can see his eyes light up when he talks about them. On the other hand, a very respected friend said he would never buy a Sig because they wear out too fast. And yet another buddy only shoots Berettas.

So I tried a Sig because of my FFL and love it. Then another, then another. Still haven't gotten around to Glocks, Berettas or S&W semi-autos, but I plan to. As far as people here being S&W bigots, I haven't noticed that any more-so than Colt bigots on their forums, Sig bigots on theirs or Ruger bigots on theirs.

Well, if Smith would make an M&P 10mm, people wouldn't need to look elsewhere.
M&P probably would not be able to take the added stress of a 10mm. Now an HK would definitely have no problem.

FWIW, there’s much pleasant discussion about a Smith revolvers and 1911s on the Glock site. Doesn’t matter whatcha shoot as long as your buying guns, ammo and using them.

I have a Glock 27, and carried it for a lot of years.

Glock's are kinda like a good AK47, you have to try really hard to not get them to shoot.
