Various news sources are reporting this. Below is from CNN:

"Former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton are volunteering to get their Covid-19 vaccines on camera to promote public confidence in the vaccine's safety once the US Food and Drug Administration authorizes one.

The three most recent former presidents hope an awareness campaign to promote confidence in its safety and effectiveness would be a powerful message as American public health officials try to convince the public to take the vaccine.

Freddy Ford, Bush's chief of staff, told CNN that the 43rd President had reached out to Dr. Anthony Fauci -- the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the nation's top infectious disease expert -- and Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, to see how he could help promote the vaccine.

"A few weeks ago President Bush asked me to let Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx know that, when the time is right, he wants to do what he can to help encourage his fellow citizens to get vaccinated," Ford told CNN. "First, the vaccines need to be deemed safe and administered to the priority populations. Then, President Bush will get in line for his, and will gladly do so on camera."

Clinton's press secretary told CNN on Wednesday that he too would be willing to take the vaccine in a public setting in order to promote it.

"President Clinton will definitely take a vaccine as soon as available to him, based on the priorities determined by public health officials. And he will do it in a public setting if it will help urge all Americans to do the same," Angel Urena said.

Obama, in an interview with SiriusXM host Joe Madison scheduled to air Thursday, said that if Fauci said a coronavirus vaccine is safe, he believes him.

"People like Anthony Fauci, who I know, and I've worked with, I trust completely," Obama said. "So, if Anthony Fauci tells me this vaccine is safe, and can vaccinate, you know, immunize you from getting Covid, absolutely, I'm going to take it."

"I promise you that when it's been made for people who are less at risk, I will be taking it," he said.

"I may end up taking it on TV or having it filmed, just so that people know that I trust this science, and what I don't trust is getting Covid," he added.

CNN has reached out to representatives for former President Jimmy Carter to see if he would be willing to take the vaccine publicly as well.

The Bush family has a history of banding together with other presidents to promote major causes. Bush's father and mother, the late former President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush, took a commercial flight in the days after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks to promote public confidence in flying again. George H.W. Bush and Clinton worked together on fundraising for areas struck by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and for other charitable causes in the years after their presidencies..."

Good.

The sheer amount of rampant misinformation, some pushed by our long-term enemies, is staggering. I want to stay away from politics, but facts are facts.

One of the facts I have to face is my co-worker with 90% blood oxygen level cannot get admitted to a local hospital. Since he is COVID positive and the hospitals are overwhelmed, his low blood oxygenation is not low enough. He is younger than me.

I bet HW and Reagan would take it too, were they still alive. Dick Nixon, Dwight Eisenhower, too.

I don't think it should be a partisan issue, and believe that all former presidents, living or dead would not see it as one.

The gist of the story for me is that these brave souls will wait until those that need the vaccine the most will act as guinea pigs.
Fine example of leading from the rear.

I will take a/the vaccine when available. Promising news from Moderna.

"Bancel imagines the Moderna vaccine, given its high efficacy against both mild and severe disease, will have the most impact if given to people at the greatest risk from SARS-CoV-2. "Give it to health care workers, give it to the elderly, give it to people with diabetes, overweight, heart disease,"

I'm old, fat, and ugly, so I'm a good candidate.
Even though some on here seem to think otherwise, I believe the virus is real, and that it is dangerous. I just disagree with some policies.

Hope those vaccines are available sooner rather than later.

Here's the main deal.
Vaccine or not this virus isn't going to disappear any time soon.
The hospitals aren't over whelmed either. ICU may be near capacity but the rest of the hospital is empty.

There's a lot of bad or misinformation coming from the hospitals and the media also.
They both would have you believe the hospital is full and their not.
The publicized the same thing from the hospital my either works/retired from last week.
The will say they are near capacity and make it sound as though the hospital was full where in fact it's just theirs current size ICU which may only be 50 beds but the rest of the hospital is empty and staff is/are still being laid off on a weekly basis. Since she was near retirement she took it before they could find a reason to fire her to keep from paying out retirement benefits.

She said the only parts of the hospital that is still open is ICU/Maternity/and emergency, the rest of the hospital and all those rooms empty.

For those of us who believe that the vaccine will be safe when it is available, we would like to be first in line, vaccinated as soon as possible, but we recognize that those at higher risk and those more needed by society, such as health workers and first responders, should have the opportunity to be vaccinated before us. But I hope that an exception will be made for our former presidents and their families, that they will be asked to be among the first to be vaccinated, because their example will help those with doubts about the vaccine's safety feel more comfortable about being vaccinated, and thereby, by encouraging widespread vaccination, help us all.
