If I'm idling with a laptop during a football game looking at the forum, I may get a like on a post and bring up the profile for a glance and see amongst the "friends" list a name that hasn't been seen in a while.
Noticed PA Reb that way. Last activity in Sept of last year. Nothing that stood out about the fellow but for the idea of the CA battle flag in Pennsylvania.


MattO I remembered for his young man in the wheelchair's love of shooting and all things cowboy. I believe some members (Iggy?) set him up with some gear.


I mentioned timn8tr a while back.


There are others I'm sure whose whereabouts get a mention but just wondered about some who have seemed to disappear. I hope in most cases any news is good news.


Gotta go... four 1 1/4" NY strips need grilled and the skeeters down here need a shot at my bare feet.

Over the years, I have noticed some of us drift away and come back again. Others drift away and never return. Some pass on entirely, of course. Others have sudden changes in circumstance that end their participation. Occasionally someone gets banned. (FeralMerril comes to mind. I regret his being banned. He was a great story teller.)

One thing is certain: None of us will be a participant on this forum forever.

Lots of us here are pretty long in the tooth, to put it gently. I always hope none of the missing haven't taken the final step.
