Baby talk drives me nuts, like adding ie on make of gun. Makes
me think of Richard Simmons type people talking to 3yr olds.
Me, too. And calling sandwiches, sammies". Gawd I hate that! And when grown men on lame entertainment shows combine a couple's names and call them that. Like "Brangelina". I even hate typing it!

EXACTLY!
When I read something like that, I have to wonder if that person JUST found the internet and honestly believes he's conjured up a brilliant witticism and is completely unaware how tired and lame it really is.

Guilty - a couple of times....

But I pick my audience carefully. :)

165 posts, and nobody has mentioned

The "boating accident"!

You have to know that whatever "they" want to find out, "they" WILL find out!

Ever heard of enhanced interrogation?

in·farc·tion

noun
the obstruction of the blood supply to an organ or region of tissue, typically by a thrombus or embolus, causing local death of the tissue.

You do NOT want one of those....

I got one, didn't want it. It finally went away.

"what he said" or+1

OK, one more.

"If I say what I'm thinking I'd be banned/slapped/suspended."

Either say what you're thinking and take your whipping, or shut up and respect the rules of the forum and don't post anything.

Don't be a weasel. It offends actual weasels.

Triple like :D:D:D

Don't be a coward.

i post too many silly things to criticize the way others talk.
these phrases are here to stay n don't really detract from the fun of reading posts, even tho i agree with many of the above comments.
what really drives me crazy are the esoteric abbreviations some people use.
a cliche i can just skim past, but an abbreviation i don't know stops me in my tracks.

I found a new one this morning... someone posted about their rifle's action being "in a chassis" meaning they'd re-stocked it in a "tactical" looking stock instead of the timber original.

Yes, it's a small thing in the grand scheme, but if you want folks to think you're "well 'ard" as the Brits put it, learn to shoot it rather than buying it dress-up clothes.

Don't know if this one was mentioned? New to the world of slang?
Fanboi
Are you a Fanboi of S&W firearms?
I hate that one.......

Forgot to ask, Is this new Snowflake slang? :roll eyes:
