Well I found a 1076 in the used case. Gun is in very good condition with some minor holster wear on the top of the slide. No box, no papers, 1 mag, and the original night sights are dead. Price tag says $429.00, I put it back in the case, now I'm wondering if I did the right thing. So what are these going for now days?

Go snag, you won't regret it. You could have it bead blasted and sell it for profit. Or just own it and enjoy it. I love my 1066.

I would buy it in a heart beat.I have really come to like the one I have. In fact I`m looking for another as we speak.Price is very fair.

If you decide to pass on this, would you give me info as to where this
gun is located. I want it. It would go well with my 1006 and 1066.
Smokin hot deal with great price.

Best

That sounds about right on the price to me. I have a 1076 and like shooting it, extra magazines can be found but seem to be a little on the expensive side (at least to me). There was a recall on some of these guns (I think all but am no expert) but if it was modified by Smith there should be two dots stamped under the de-cocker.

I saw a 1076 in like new condition at a local shop, and they are asking $595. Looked like a real nice gun, and liked the frame mounted decocker.

What was the serial number or prefix? If it is a potential FBI model it could be worth double that price.

If you haven't gotten enough encouragement from the other posts, that is a great price. They are somewhat rare in my area, but I have found a couple of 1076 models at the gun shows for around $600.

As of yesterday, Eastside Gun Shop in Nashville had two. The one I saw was in the box with wrap and papers. About 499, if I remember.

Eastside 615 258 4080, ask for the Rabbi.
