Well, I finally found a 39-2 and bought it but it mat be too nice for me to shoot and carry! It looks to have maybe had a box or less of ammo shot through it in it's life. It's an A691XXX serial number. I would think it was one of the last years of it. The checkering is so sharp on the grips that it makes you sore from gripping it!
You have to post pics of your new gun so that we can advise you whether to shoot it or queen it. Not having seen it, my vote would be to shoot the bejeezus out of it and enjoy it. 
You didn't say whether or not the original box and papers were included, but it really doesn't matter since they just add value to an otherwise shootable gun.
