Found a nice 66-1 snubby

I was out treasure hunting and ran across this nice 66-1. The grips aren't original, but that didn't make it a deal breaker.
I already have a nice 66-2 snubby, but I just couldn't say no to this one.

Nice find. Great looking gun. I have also been lookinng for a nice no dash or -1 to go with my -2. I will keep looking.

I've got one that I bought back around 84. I took it out of the safe last month for the first time in years. Great revolver. I cleaned mine for hours and couldn't get it looking as good as yours.

Years of carrying it took it's toll on it.

Great looking 66, I like the look of the recessed cylinders on the no dash, and the dash 1.

I have a 66-1 snub that I bought a few years ago. It belonged to a S&w collector who had many, many unfired S&w's of all types. This one was his personal carry gun. The trigger was worked over by a top notch smith and it was custom fitted with night sights. It was polished and looks like perfect bright nickle. It is a fantastic gun...but in the original, stock condition a 66-1 snub is a classic and hard to beat. That's a nice find!

I cleaned it with Flitz and a cotton cloth. Flitz does a great job on Stainless guns.

Good find. I have a 66-3 snub and when it comes to a nice P&R M66 I wouldn't have passed it either.

I took my 66-2 snub to the range yesterday, fun to shoot and very accurate as well!

Dont Flitz it to much...it will take away that mellow S&W satin sheen and turn it into a high polish finish...
