I sold all my revolvers a while back and had nothing but semi-autos. ( I've been shooting, buying, trading and selling for five decades).
I had that itch to refill my revolver void so I went shopping. I found a S&W model 19 Nickel with magnum grips in pristine shape. The story is, the Grandson inherited it from his Grandfather. It has been sitting in his dresser drawer, in a shoe box, for years.
DAMN! The Grandfather threw the original box and everything away. Anyway, it looks like a BRAND NEW revolver with ZERO defects, scratches, wear or peeling.
I am purchasing a Model 19-5 4 inch Nickel for $650.
Needless to say, I am excited to get it. These guns are not getting any cheaper as time goes on!

Found a S7W 19-5 Nickel

Sounds like a great deal - I would be excited too since I've been looking for a (blued) 19. Be sure and post some pics.

Last 19 nickel in excellent condition that I saw in a local shop had a price tag of $850.00.

There is a Model 19 that came on Armslist, Ohio today. Looks good. $475. Don't know if owner would ship. I am not in the market for 1 at this time. Bob

Be really careful buying guns on Armslist. I just got screwed out of $480. Bought a gun, sent a cashiers check, gun never shipped and the seller disappeared.

Unless it is close enough to buy FTF I don't know that I will ever buy on Armslist again.

I just bought this model 19-5 off Armslist tonight local. I paid $580 which is fair in my mind.

Same here. Have bought a lot on GB with no problem. Also had good experience buying FTF on Armslist so tried out of state purchase. Got screwed. So, won't do that again.

Update to this Model 19 Nickel...WOW!!

I finally picked it up and took it to the range. It was never sighted in and everything was tight like a new one from the factory. Shot a little to the left and low. Once I adjusted the sights to my liking. It was an absolute pleasure to shoot. The oversized magnum grips were as sharp as a new gun out of the box. I could not be happier with this purchase.
