Found my 29-1

Found this gun over the weekend. Happy to find it as I read reported 29-1's are scarce. This one is an 8 3/8" barrel. This will go along well with my -1 collection of N frames and be a great addition to my 29 collection as well.

I am new at posting so I will try and get pictures up of my -1 N frames soon.

Congrats Gil!!! You found a gem. Is it a 4-screw or a 3-screw 29-1 (if I recall correctly, the 3-screws are more common)? I wish I could have caught up with you at the show. I have been swamped.

The known serial numbers of the 29-1 guns is up to 67!

It looks like a 3 screw.

Only two 44 Magnums stamped MOD. 29-1 in the yoke cut have a 4-screw frame and an extractor rod with a left-hand thread and are actually configured like a -1 model variation. The other sixty-five have a 3-screw frame and an extractor rod with a right-hand thread.

That is a definite GEM! I have never seen a 29-1 in person, but seen a few in pictures, yours looks amazing.
