Found my 60-4

Had great luck picking up a few J-frames this week. Thanks to everyone who posted about these little gems - had never seen any before last week or so.

Won a set of checkered factory target grips this morning so the mini 686 look will soon be complete.

Now to find the companion blued 36-6...

The 60-4 is one of the best trail guns S&W ever made. Personally, I wouldn't bother too much to worry about finding a 36-6. It duplicates what you already have. Save your money for a 4" 631, and then an original 51 (or 651). Naturally you'll need a Model 34, or two, and a …

Nice.......... really like the 3" adjustable sight J-frames. Mine is a 60-10 .357.........mini-686.

Urban carry it's +P.38s in Penn's Woods it's soft point .357s "just in case!"

Amazing! Two of our forum regulars each get a Model 60-4 and post about it on the same day. To burneyr I would say yes, a set of factory J targets (probably "robbed" off of a Model 34 ) does make it look like a mini-686, but I personally prefer my combat style dark Asian Rosewood from Thailand. Good stuff shows up on eBay if you'll watch for it.
