just scored 1,000 rounds for about 38 cents/round out the door, remanufactured ammo, 180gr JHP. it'll shoot fine at the range and let me learn my 40VE better. they had 3 cases left.
The indoor range where I shoot doesn't like JHP. FMJ target ammo is what they want, though I am sure JHP is shot there often enough without them knowing. I have managed a few boxes of 380. Only on 50 rnd box of .40 in the last couple of weeks. Sucks not having anything to kill paper with
interesting story on this ammo. made for .gov (180 gr JHP), but rejected as it was loaded in once fired brass. i'll shoot it at paper and dirt. plan to take some out this week for a test drive. all mixed brass, but nice and clean. 50 rnds loose packed per paper box.
I purchased some remanufactured ammo from freedom munitions the other day as it was the only stuff I could find. The price was good, but shipping is taking forever. Does anyone have any experience with any of their ammo?
I finally scored some .40 FMJ at Academy today. Winchester 165gr 100 rounds for $36 plus tax. A one box per customer limit, and more than Walmart Federal (about $27 for 100) but Walmart is forever out of stock.
