In that kind of shape with the box, I think $300 would be tops.
$250 or less would be a great deal.
I've got an old High Standard Sentinel that I use for my snake gun while fishing. They are not of S&W quality but not bad guns at all.

I have the snubbie JC Higgins version...my ex neighbor's mom bought it in the sixties and he had it in his closet for years and gave it to me when he moved away. The gun on the manual looks just like yours...:)

If I saw it in my local shop I would expect to pay about $250. to $300.

Got the exact same rig, box and all. Belonged to my dad so doesn't matter what it would sell for, no one can afford mine.

I predict "single stroke multiple ejection" will catch on. I had a later more "svelte" looking Hi Standard snub in .22 mag.. It was built like a German 88, and weighed almost as much.

They sold those snubs in colors of a metalic finish pink, gold and torqouise with a ivory looking grips. I remember seeing them just once in a small hardware/gun/sporting goods store around 1957. In all the years since, I havent any more. Blue ones, yes.

Thanks for the info Merril...looks like mine is one of the rarer 105s..

It also has a number on the right side of the barrel that doesn't match the serial number on the frame..it is 583.881

From your other site, it looks like mine is one of these..my frame looks anodized so I guess it is aluminum. But my box has a catolog number of 2257. I guess it would be different for JC Higgins.

Sentinel Snub has a 2.375 barrel with round butt grips

Okay, this explains the number on my barrel...guess mine isn't a 105.....kind of strange as it lists Higgins as the manufacturer even though all the others are hi-standards...I think it's a misprint...why would mine is the only one made by Higgins? From what I understand, it was just a brand name to sell Sears guns...which later became Ted Williams...

Sip, J.C.Higgins never made anything. Sears used it as a name for a line of all their sporting goods. I had a j.c. higgins shotgun I bought from sears that also was made by Hi-Standard in the mid 50`s.

This J.C. Higgins .22 has a great feel and point shoots pretty good. They might not look all that high quality but I think they are well made and smooth nine-shooters. Creep Tex Watson used a High Standard Longhorn .22 at the Tate murders.
