Been meaning to post this game cam picture of a 4 legged critter. He shows up pretty much on time each night trotting up the first part of the drive. Looks like Mr Red Fox to me, don't think it is a worthless coyote, just doesn't look right for that

So what do you think?

When you see one scooting along, you know where the term "fox trot" comes from. You see them around here from time to time but I think the coyotes are rough on them.

Foxes are the most manipulative creatures I have seen.
They know EXACTLY what buttons to push to get humans to feed them.
Found that out working a shift in a rural area of east Harris County. Staff out at the place had been feeding them.

Male came up to the road and stared at me. I did nothing;
Male came to the door and scratched at it like a raccoon. I did nothing;
Male went to the front of the station and started crying. I did nothing but my resolve weakening;
Male disappeared....then returned with his mate and a few babies. All looked at me; then started crying.

My resolve vanished and as a result, I had no lunch until next morning.

Please bear with me if this story sounds familiar. Our late father was in a hospital in northeast Ohio and my brother and I had just come back to the car from visiting Pop. We're getting ready to leave when a red fox came walking into the parking lot like it owned the place. It starts chowing down and all of a sudden a plate flies up in the air. It looks like the fox knew where it could get a catered dinner.

Prob. a red fox. I think I can see the black legs.

I've seen grey foxes right here in north Dallas, and my son and his wife see them a lot down near the hill country north of San Antonio.

We used to feed an Arctic fox at a remote radar site in Newfoundland.

Back when my parents neighborhood was less populated there were a few that came around at about dark thirty. Mom was feeding them scraps. For a while there was a cat that followed them everywhere but always just out of reach.

Handsome little creatures.

It's a red fox. Got a another picture around someplace, I'll try to find it. Plus my neighbor has one of a red fox doing chicken takeout!
