Hi Guys: Anyone know of a good muzzle brake for the 10mm? TIA for the suggestions.

Us handloaders would like to know what the fired brass looks like? I had the Cmmg in 10mm it was a thumper for about 2 mags until I inspected the brass then she got sold...
You would think that since they already make the 9mm and 40 cal, doing a .357 Sig would be a piece of cake. Bore the 9mm receiver out to .357 Sig size and put it on a 40 chassis - job done.

I have the 9mm and I used it USPSA matches for the last two years. With out a doubt it’s fun to shoot, and it has never failed to function over 1000’s of rounds. Now the 10mm would be a real nice woods gun, but a little too much for competition. It will be interesting to see what S&W chambers next in the FPC line.

Take my money. Thanks for planting that seed. I almost ordered the 10mm FPC last week but paused. A Response in 10 mm would be awesome if it ever happens. Got the nine. Second range trip, I put the Glock magwell in it. It's still in there due to 32 rd. Glock mags I have. I think I'll wait.

Has anyone actually got one yet? I went by my LGS today and they have one coming in on Thursday. I promptly slapped down some plastic and had them put my name on it. I’ll keep everyone apprised and might even be able to provide a range report before the weekend. I’ll go in with my 12 M&P mags pre-loaded
Well, after some miscommunication on the LGS and my part, I finally picked it up this morning. I had called them on Thursday the 27th and they said it hadn’t come in. I waited till yesterday and called them. They said oh, yeah, it came in on the 27th and we tried to call you
Oh well, water under the bridge and I’m not going to get upset about it. Range trip planned for tomorrow and I’ll post my results.
Range report
Took the 10mm FPC to the range today. I ran 90 rounds through it with one FTF that happened on the last round out of one of my 2.0 10mm mags. When I was loading the mags that came with the FPC, I noticed the springs were quite a bit stiffer than the 2.0 mags. I was actually pretty impressed there were no feeding issues with a brand new gun and mags. I was shooting 200 grain Berry’s plated FP over 8.2 grains Longshot. Average velocity was 1311 fps. The same ammo was running at 1131 fps avg. in my M1006 and 1095 fps avg. in my M1076.
I had some(operator induced) issues with my optic, which was an Ultradot. The reticule kept blinking out randomly between shots. Fixed that by tightening down the battery cover, then the view kept getting darker and darker…I didn’t realize it has a polarizing filter for sunlight, and it kept rotating slightly and getting darker after each shot…D’oh
While I was having the optic issues, I did a couple mag dumps just sighting down the length of the pic rail and checking rapid fire function.
Once I got it all figured out and started making adjustments, it started to get really fun. My last mag of 15 made a ragged half dollar sized hole. This was at 42 ft., which is the max distance on the indoor range I was using. I can’t wait to get it to my outdoor club range and really put it through its paces.
Balance was good until I took the two full mags out of the buttock storage. Then it became fairly nose heavy and the recoil was a lot more pronounced, especially with the hard plastic butt. Other than that, I like the ergonomics and to me, it’s a comfortable and naturally pointing firearm.
I kept my brass segregated from my two third gen pistols just to see if there was any noticeable deformity or bulging, like Erik mentioned with the 10mm Banshee. This is all cheap range pickup brass that has been loaded at least twice before, and with a cursory inspection, I don’t see any major issues with it. I’ll run a mag of new Starline through it next range visit and see how it comes out. One thing I did notice about ejection, almost half of my brass ended up out in the range lane, but that’s why I use the cheap stuff where I have a good chance on losing it.

That is good range info. I hope they do come out with one in FDE. I did purchase a Promag 20 round 10mm magazine and swapped the spring for a Taran Tactical spring. Works fine in my M&P pistol.

LGS had these in stock that I was able to handle. First time I've every held an FPC. Like noted, felt a little buttstock heavy w/ two unloaded mags. Can imagine that gets worse if they're full. Spring was heavy as expected. Was curious about the length of pull as it is not adjustable and the sight rail starts in front of the trigger guard on the handguard. Wish the sight rail extended back over the rcvr but it is what it is. For me, any optic would need to be on a riser to get a comfortable/repeatable sight picture. The concept is novel. Not sure I'll be able to convince myself to purchase.

The FPC sight rail is entirely on the handguard by design. Even though the hinge mechanism has proven to stay snug (and is self compensating for wear like a double barrel shotgun), if any play ever were to develop, the sights would always stay aligned with the barrel.
The receiver tube is in-line with the bore, so a riser on your red dot sight is required. Not coincidently the height of the picatinny rail above the bore is identical to an AR, so any red dot optic with riser that's suitable for an AR will work on the FPC.
I'm an average 5'11" and find the fixed LOP very comfortable but maybe not everyone will. If I had to pick between an adjustable buttstock and the recoil buffer system in the FPC stock, I'm still picking the recoil buffer. The FPC recoil is much less than other blowback 9 carbines such as Keltec, Ruger, or Beretta.

I picked up a Vortex Strikefire II that I mounted on my FPC for the next range outing. Bigger objective and much easier to see than the multidot. It has both the red and green dot. Seems like a pretty solid optic with a sturdy mount.
I’m not really sure where to mount it…more fore or aft? Is there a rule of thumb, or is it personal preference?

I love my 9mm version, shoot lots of USPSA and steel matches with it, and I routinely have other shooters asking about it. Now the 10mm looks like it would be a great woods or backpacking carbine. Without a doubt it is my favorite gun, at least for now.

Thought some might enjoy seeing my "STRIBOG" PCC. It has the appearance of an SBR but IS BRACED. IT is a Slovakian clone of the Blow back, Swiss B&T, that our army replaced the WWII Grease Gun with. Mine is 9mm - but they make .45s also. Mine has a 9" barrel, Iron sights + red dot + green Laser, & collapsible "BRACE". IT is very accurate ,100% reliable, & great fun to shoot. Mine is house gun, but can travel well folded. IT is very fine quality & compares to others costing double or triple. Mine was about $500. a couple of years ago. I still love it, & a keeper.

Here's a fake brake I made to fatten up the pencil thin barrel. At first, I wanted the same until realizing having one would make it uneven when folded so I decided to weld a modified brake onto the OEM thread protector. It's mostly aesthetical but does add a few needed ounces to that end of the stick in an effort to better balance when both spare mag's are loaded/installed. It doesn't provide any compensation as IMO 10mm is pretty tame actually. It's been cold blued for now until cerakoting it.

Couldn't buy the Ruger, state laws and magazine requirements. S&W comes up with it, in God's caliber and I am drooling. On-line won't sell it in Comirado anymore so I have just weeks to get it done before the new law makes me fight to the death for my personal constitutional rights. LGS is the only defense I have left. The only good thing about our new laws, I may have enough money for a real vacation.
