I have an old K-22 Outdoorsman.

The frame lug turns quite freely and can catch on the cylinder when I open it.

How does one go about stopping the rotation?

Peening? Loc tite?

Any suggestions?

TIA

It's originally peened when new. I'd try a drop of locktite then peen it tighter in the frame. Support the frame and lug on a solid block before using the hammer.

If it doesn't work, remove it, then clean all the parts well. Then just use the locktite and reassemble it.

Thanks Louie,

I think this one will be OK.

Appreciate the thought.

Contact this man- Jerry Rodgers.

He and his partner bought all of the original forged parts that S&W was going to throw away when they switched to mim. They have about 5 tons of parts. I have no dog in the hunt other than the fact that I have met Jerry FTF, and bought from him personally. He is a very nice man, and honest to boot! I have sent a lot of guys over to Jerry from this forum and so far he has helped most all, if not all of them out with exactly what they needed. I almost always get a PM telling me so.:)
