Is Frank Glenn still in business (Glenn Custom Complete Gunsmithing Service)?
Located in Phoenix, I've tried email, landline and cell phone to no avail. Also web site is still up and running!
Looking to have some work done on a 686+.

Thx for any info.

As far as I know he's still around working. There was some speculation on the Colt Forum about his status recently but nothing definitive.

Frank is a great guy and supremely capable. I live maybe 40-45 minutes from him and have been to his place. Maybe he's simply taking vacation time? Health related? He's in my age group so that's a possibility. I really don't know but can't see him retiring without some heads up to his customers.

wordsmith, is he taking on any new work?
Guess I'll just keep on trying to contact him.

I emailed him about a question or two regarding some work he'd done in the past and got a response within 48 hours, which surprised me. I was hoping for a response within a week, but sent the email on Friday night and had a response by Sunday night.

Great guy!

Hey tominphx, here's an idea. Answering phones and emails takes away from work and leisure time. At 80, he's certainly earned that.

Try writing him a letter, and include a postage paid, addressed return envelope, In your letter, tell him exactly and completely what you want done, going back and forth is a chore.

Just the novelty of it may get his interest. :) That's how I used to communicate with the late gripmaker Roy Fishpaw, who didn't have a website or email. I guess I could have tried calling, but I'm in no hurry, and enjoy the anticipation of waiting.

Thank you all for the responses, glad to hear he is up and about!
I'll keep on trying!

He fixed my Colt Officer's Model Target .22. It wasn't cheap but good work rarely is.

The refinish was done elsewhere, but they couldn't fix the timing.

Frank repaired the timing and replaced parts on my same Colt 22!! He must be training some next generation gunsmiths to carry on his legacy. Yep,he is a class person!

My neighbor and good friend who retired from the Arizona Highway Patrol can't say enough about this man and the magic he can do with a firearm.

I sent Frank my 67-6 MIM 2 piece barrel HH k frame couple weeks ago. Just got it back. He did the basic action job and it feels like the trigger has ball bearings in it! About 10lb trigger ( I’m guessing). It’s glass smooth and Frank is a great guy. I HIGHLY recommend him. I want to get him my 624 soon so I can have 2 Glenn guns.

I had Frank do some work on a Colt detective special last month.
Super fast turn around and very reasonable prices.
Frank had my revolver finished in one week.
I couldn't be more happier.
His skills are top notch.
