For those of you looking for books, check out Project Gutenberg (gutenberg.org) Thousands of books you can download free. I have several on my iPad. Most are out of copyright. I have Mark Twain, H. Rider Haggard, Teddy Roosevelt, H.G. Wells, etc. Recently found a book on the 1918 Flu pandemic from 1921. A great source for free reading material.
Don't have to leave the house or worry about the last person who touched the book.

Aside from Gutenberg, there is also Gutenberg Canada and Gutenberg Australia. Then (my current favorite - I check them daily for their new releases) The faded page. fadedpage.com

Almost forgot. Feedbooks. Feedbooks | Free eBooks and Best Sellers

Some of the stuff on feedbooks you have to pay for, but they have a large section of "public domain", and all of that is free.
