just take the stock S&W handguard end cap off and make sure your standard barrel nut is correctly torqued and you have the same free-float quad rail for nothing...

But where would the fun customization be in that. The aluminum will flex a lot less than the polymer of the factory handguard.
 
There is no such thing is a true free float on these guns but tacticools adaptor gets you as close as you can possibly get... and a lot more ridgitity.. removing the end cap will do little or nothing cause you still have a piece of plastic sandwitched inbetween the nut and reciever.. if your looking to upgrade handguards or looking to get all you can get out of this gun in accu. You definately need an upgrade the aluminum is a lot ridgid and temps don't affect it as much.. hope this helps
