Hello everyone. I just recently joined. I bought my first m&p40c this passed week. The guy at the lgs along with other gun shops and a few online sites have told me that smith and Wesson will send me two magazines if I contact them and show a copy of my receipt. When I went to contact them, the guy told me has no idea what I'm talking about and has never heard of that ever. He then asked me to get an order number from someone who has received the magazines before and he will look into the order details. My question to you guys is... Is this guy full of **** or have I been informed wrong by everyone? Also if its true does anyone have an order number? Thanks in advance guys!

Full of it. Did he give you ANY mags with your gun? It should've come with two 10 rd mags.

They used to run a rebate around X-Mas for $50 cash back or 2 free mags but I believe they dropped the mag deal and now only run the rebate. You can check the site for details.
If you are a Veteran, they often run a special rebate for that too.
I'm sorry but I think that you should have investigated this beofre you made your purchase, especially if it was the deciding factor.

This is a few years old. I just bought a M&P 40c from my brother. When he bought it a few years ago, he sent a copy of the bill to S&W, & they sent him 2 free mags. So there were 4 mags with the gun I got from my brother. Just found the shipping envelope from S&W. 1/2009. GARY

Correct. That was a promo they did in 2009 and 2010. When you bought a new M&P, you could choose between a $50 rebate or two free magazines.

I remember this also when I got my M&P 9mm FS I got either a $50 rebate or the 2 free 17 round mags that I chose. Its no longer into effect.

At least you didn't get ripped off and only get one mag.
That was a couple years ago offer,$50. or two free mags. Took awhile to get the free mags,but that was the better part of the deal. Two mags cost way more than $50. back then.
