A happy ending. It would seem rehabilitation is absent in this fellow. Always remain vigilant no matter where you are or what your doing.

They tried to call prisons Correctional Institutions years ago. That name did not stick. Unfortunately, the bad guys never seem to get the word that some of their selected victims can fight back with lethal force.

So the perp will probably live and go back to jail. Now if he had been killed it would have reduced the future recidivism rate.

More than one "resident" I met at work ended up deaded once they got out. Mostly young kids who were actually friendly and personable while incarcerated but once they got out, they ended up back with the old gang and fell back on their previous indiscretions.

That's going to be a hard record to beat. My only question is was he in uniform? But you would think at that time of night who else would it be. Maybe his was thinking the 40 old guy advantage would play in his favor? Never underestimate the old guy.
