I just ordered another 250 rounds of 55gr FMJ .223 for $75 and 40 rounds of 150gr .308 for about $20 from Freedom Munitions. Shipping is $22, I dont remember who turned us onto them but Thank You Again. Also our own BHarada is the first reviewer under the .223 55gr FMJ ammo. LOL, our Forum members do get around!!!!

FM re-manufactured .223 55 gr FMJ rounds per 1000 rounds is about 33 cents a round. Pretty good price! Also look at Natchez Shooters Supplies. They have PMC Bronze 55 gr FMJ on sale for $6.29 a box of 20. If you buy 1000 rds you'll pay about 34 cents a round. If you like 5.56 NATO Cheaper than Dirt has PMC X-Tac 55 gr FMJ (M193 equivalent) for $6.89 a box of 20. If you buy 1000 rds you'll pay about 37 cents a round. I've shot both in my 15 OR. Both perform well.

I am thinking I need to pick up some reloads so that I have more brass to play with. I have about 1300 rounds loaded but would like to have about 1800 but would be happier with 2500 or so. I could have a lot to reload but still have a bunch to shoot, save reloading for the winter time when there isnt a lot to do

winter time equals some good coyote / deer hunting. And if your like me you duck hunt. If I lived in kansas you wouldn't see me from september to february.

I just ordered 500 rounds of 55gr FMJ .223 for $169.42 shipped from Freedom Munitions, that works out to 34 cents per round...not too shabby.

Me for punching paper, I'd rather save some cost using quality reloads, and I like the idea of giving my cash to a real USA based company...helping out the little guy who's employing local workers.

If I like it, I will surely buy more...

So of those of you that have ordered 223 ammo, did you get their standard reloads or has anybody tried their "Blaster Training Ammo"?? They say it is same ammo with cosmetic blemishes??

that is the best coyote/ predator hunting, our deer seasons have been cut back so much that I usually get mine during handicapped and then a doe during rifle season and that takes about 4 hours total. My wife and I raise chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys and have over 100 birds. I do do a little pheasant hunting then but being retired and not much into TV I get the opportunities to reload then, plus here where I live in Kansas there isnt much water and the wind blows so much in the winter that I hunt whatever days are available but I also have days that I can reload, right now I have such great prairie dog hunting and coyote hunting, not for furs for predation control. But I got my new electronic caller with active decoy and cant wait to try it out. But I do plan on a lot more coyote hunting this winter and we have a cougar on our farm that I would love to call in and take pictures of, it and the bobcats I like to take pics of....I also ordered some of the Freedom Munitions Blaster ammo just to check it out, a 100 of the 55gr JHP 223, some 62 grain penetrator 223 and some of their 308. Mostly to check out and then to reload. I have a bunch of components but would rather be out PDog hunting.

There's only a $6 price difference between the Blaster and reload. I may take a flyer on a small quantity of the Blaster ammo just to check it out, but I have no reservations on ordering more of the reloads.

SW Gun Guy, I ordered some of their blaster in 223 and 308, BHarada has ordered some for his pistol but hasnt shot it yet but says it looks great!!

All of my experiences with Freedom Munitions have been very positive. Great price and excellent customer service from an American company. What more could you ask for?

I went ahead and ordered 500 of the Blaster in 223 tonight. $162 in the door for me. It is American made and they are reloadable cases. I agree, "What more could you ask for?"

WWM..I used to have close to 100 brand spankin new mil-surp mags with the upgraded followers, I still have 12 with one Pmag, and they are all loaded so thanks but I dont have room for any more.

WOW... thats a LOT of Mags for .223......

Im thinking my 5 mags is enough ta keep me from shooting WAY TOO MANY rounds...

LOL

Yeah I only take my 20's out shooting with me for the exact same reason LOL

I have ten Stoner 10-rnd mags that I load up before heading to the range. I also fill up ten stripper clips so that the first reload at the range doesn't take up much time.
