This medley so far consists of 2 red and 1 orange bell peppers. Two fresh cucumbers, two red onions, one bunch of spring onions, five celery stalks, four jalapeños. The fresh bass are cooked and ready to add after the final condiment flavors. Salt, pepper, horseradish, dill pickle, sweet relish, garlic, hot sauce, mayo, mustard, tarter sauce??

Fish Salad, boiled egg slices, fresh homegrown tomatoes wedges-and whole wheat crackers..... this is tomorrow’s smallmouth fishing adventure eats.....:) It’s redneck gourmet dining at its best :)

That really looks tasty but it is not something that my old worn out stomach could handle. I would have like to had a chance at it , say 50 years ago. Looks so good.

yes....that is a lot of fresh vegetables with some serious heat added for digestion. Watching other family members develop sensitive stomachs.....I've kept my cast-iron belly well lubed....;)

Polished off a pint of jalapeno pickled quail eggs yesterday.....had cause to remember how good they were today:eek:... this brand of pickled quail eggs are the best......bought by the case:):):)

A question??? How do you get your Quail to lay pickled eggs?
My Quail don't.  :D

Man that salad is A1 fishing food. We had a snack and lunch break working on a gallon of the fish salad. Polished it off with a couple sandwiches on the ride home. We were bumped up against an old dock letting the pup run while we snacked when fishing buddy says he saw a shad flick the surface. Made a quick throw of the cast net and caught about 4 dozen. Backed off, finished the snack break and made another cast netting a couple dozen more. The fish catching was about to begin.

We caught a lot of drum(pups favorite, likes to lick them:eek:), shellcracker, largemouth bass, white bass, catfish and a couple of sauger. They say sauger is some of the best eating, I’ll know first hand shortly. The targeted smallmouth were elusive although a couple of other boats said they had caught some. All in all..... a fun adventure :)

I’m guessing by the pickled quail eggs that you’ve won more than one bet that required eating something.

7 Farms brand cajun jalapeno quail eggs......you can order them on the net. The local WalMart carries them here and a lot cheaper than mail-order too. You should try some:)
