Frog Lube and a M&P

Another great thing I have found out about FL, is it does NOT attract dust & dirt like gun grease & oil does :)

Been using Frog Lube for about 4 months....

and

I say Frog Lube paste is the same thing as Wonder Lube/Bore Butter, one is green and cost a bunch $, one is yellow and cost less $. After seeing great results on my black powder guns I've used Wonder Lube on all my firearms for about 30 years, it works great but doesn't remove metal fouling. I also wouldn't trust it as a lube for handgun slides.

I would love the Frog Lube man to tell me I'm wrong but I don't think that would ever happen....

I don't know if I can link to another website forum (boomershooter), but the guy did a rust test with all the popular clp type products...FL included, FL was the only one that had no rust present on the sample areas after 2+ months outdoors. It was impressive to say the least and surprising how some of the other so called highly rated products failed, at least in the rust test.

Any chance you could enlighten us on the products that didn't do so well on the rust test? I think that would help out a lot of people here. Fo me rust is one of the most important thing I don't want on my guns as I don't think I shoot some of them enough to have wear issues. The ones I do shoot a lot get extra care to keep wears down.. This is still a work in progress. I like to have a small kit for each gun I have that I take with me any time I'm going to shoot.

If all you have is the paste, how do you clean the barrel? .

I run a boresnake through it, twice. First time with some paste applied after the brush section, at the end/thick part. Second without re-applying new paste (but some is sure to linger)

I don't heat it every time....just the first two or three.

This might have been the youtube video with the comparisons .... just happened to run across it again. Could be another one out there too but this guy does use the plates coated with different products for comparision.
