...like new progressive in two week (actually a bit less than two weeks)

I was given an old RL550B about the first of November. It was in pieces and had been stored in a cardboard box in a damp un-enclosed garage. It was rust "bucket".

Several folks suggested I send it to Dillon for a re-furb.

I called and got an RMA # and shipped it back. The re-furb costs $47.50 (which includes return shipping).

Take a look at the pics...

Anyone who thinks Dillon isn't a class act....well, they just don't know!

I've had a 650 since 2002 and have always been impressed by Dillon's Customer Service. However, this most recent transaction has really impressed me!

They cleaned it, replaced all the parts with new, replaced BOTH my powder drops with new ones, threw in a tool-head, kicked in a primer warning alarm (electronics are not supposed to be covered by Dillon's No-B.S. Lifetime Warranty), threw in new powder funnels, etc...etc...

All I can say is no matter what kind of reloading equipment you own, this kind of "above and beyond" customer service is worth noting.

This is the kind of customer care that will keep me buying Dillon equipment.

Today, Dillon Precision exceeded my expectations (and I've written Steve Dillon a note telling him exactly that).

When I do go progressive it will be Dillon. Not just because of this post but it sure didn't hurt either. This is the kind of stories I hear about them all the time. I love the Lee Classic Turret and I love the RCBS Rockchucker for now. Someday I will plunk down for a 550 or 650.

That is pretty impressive. Pretty much for free as I imagine the shipping weight would be almost all the cost.

Gotta find me one of those.:)

VonFatman,
I have been a Dillon customer for almost 30 years now and I agree with you 100%.

Their customer service and NO BS Warranty is just what they say it is, and that is why whenever I have a buddy that wants to get into the reloading game I tell them Dillon is the ONLY way to go.

I have never experienced better service from ANY Company.....gun related or not!

Regards,

Guys, it's pretty easy to become loyal to a company that treats its' customers this way.

I like being pleasantly surprised.

See, this is the reason they don't NEED their advertising scheme. Well, I better leave that alone or I will get tarred and feathered for sure but......

I had the exact same experience with a Square Deal press. I bought it used with a bunch of conversions for $150 and sent it in for refurbishing. $40 something to get it to the exact same shape.

In fact, that press is on my son's bench in PA now.

If you build a good product, stand behind it like this, folks will buy them.

Good deal Bob.

FWIW, I bought a 550 25 years back. When I called Dillon for upgrades to make it a B, they sent them free.

When my primer pick-up rods needed net tips, Dillon sent them free.

When I had a problem where the primer loading tool base stripped, Dillon sent me a new one free.

I recently bought .44Spl brass from them and when it came 97 pieces instead of 100, I called them and asked if they could ship a few in an envelope. Felt foolish for a couple pieces of brass, but 97 in a 100 count plastic box looked funny.

They sent me 5 pieces and they shipped them same day.

Make mine a Dillon.

That's the for sure, I almost didn't make it out alive for a similar statement on another site!

Just write Mr. Dillon a note asking him to put brown wrapper over the cover...problem solved!!...well, kinda!
