David Dewhurst our Lt. Governor has this message posted on his web site. He is talking about the 2nd Amendment and he is very serious about what he says. Also a petition for Texas residents to sign in support of the 2nd. It's good to see our Lt. Governor stand up for our rights.

I seem to recall that when Texans were faced with tyranny from the south a lot of other Americans went to assist (notably former Congressman Davy Crockett).

I signed the petition as well, although I live in Colorado. I can be in Texas in about 5 hours if needed.
 
Our Dear Leader is not just hostile to our guns. He is hostile to the entire state, and in particular, our refineries, our petro chemical industry, our oil and gas wells, and our coastal fishing. Our state government is constantly having to fight off the EPA, Dept of Interior and various other federal alphabets. Thankfully, there is very little federal land in Texas. It is either privately owned or belongs to counties and the state.
