From their own accounts, Sgt. Todd brough down Ft. Hood gunman.

I just saw the two officers involved in taking down Hasan at Ft. Hood. It turns out officer Munley didn't bring him down like originally reported. Sgt. Todd did.

Munley said when she arrived, she headed toward Hasan and started exchanging fire. She was hit in both the hand and the leg before going down! At the same time, Todd arrived in a separate vehicle and opened fire as well. He shot several rounds before taking Hasan down.

Officer Munley looked good in her interview. It's good to see she's recovering so well. I hope these two outstanding individuals get all the recognition they deserve! God bless them!

I still admire her willingness to engage- literally "to stand and deliver."
I don't know the exact sequence of events, but who knows- without her involvement, Hasan might have taken out Sgt. Todd also.

Whether Sgt. Munley hit Hasan or not, her willingness to engage him almost certainly prevented him from wounding or killing several more victims. It's safe to say that to the shooter, she was a major distraction.

I'd consider both of them a hero. The two of them arriving at the same time to engage Hasan was a great advantage. If either one had arrived 30 seconds later who knows how things would have turned out.

And the 22lr has killed more americans than any other round, but I would not recommend it as a service round.

The .38 handgun, with the right ammo/round, hitting as aimed, can be just as lethal as as any of the big bores... but we all know that, right?

A rather unfortunate juxtaposition of duties. Would that the creep had been allowed to bleed out. (Sentiments expressed mine, not necessarily Sgt. Todd's.) It is hard to imagine a more despicable human being.

Both officers should be properly commended. My guess is Sgt. Todd was interviewed to atone for and recognize that - once again - the electronic/MSM had not done their homework and botched the story.

Does the Military use lethal injection? My only hope is he'll be strapped to a table down at Fort Leavenworth (I believe) and feel the needle going into his skin knowing he's done for. Anti death penalty people claim that lethal injection may paralize the individual, but they are still conscious and feel everything, which is very painful. I hope this is the case for Hasan.

Female cop being credited with the take-down is a better story. Don't look for any retraction soon. Now, if she was a lesbian and a single mother, she'd be a REAL star!

Not taking away from her actions at all. She did her job and did it well. This just reminds me of the Private Jessica Lynch story. Lynch gets taken prisoner without even firing a shot. Another female is captured also, but she is overweight and African American. Stories circulate about Lynch being sexually molested, but none of that was ever proven or corroborated by Lynch. Lynch gets rescued and gets a full disability pension, free house, and car, and a hero's parade. The other woman gets a half disability and no freebies. Two Blackhawk pilots were shot down days later, and were captured, and the media barely covered the story.
