front sight problem

shooting today and the frikkin front sight popped out, I am going to call S&W tomorrow and see what my options are, I really dont want to send my Sigma back seeing as its my only HD firearm. Has anyone else had this problem? I am not abusing the gun, so that is out of the picture. Love the gun and am not really that pissed, just surprised.

I too had this problem. Bought my .40VE 12/07 and had it case kept until about 2 months ago. Never shot it till I moved out to the country and wanted to have some fun with it. 3rd clip into my fun, I got about 3 more rounds out of it and wallah, Sight was GONE. ShYtty!

Called SW and they sent me a shipping label, I sent it out, received it 8 days after handing it to the FedEx Driver. You should have NO problem getting this fixed and FAST. They do NOT however change the design. They just melt a new one on and apply a hardener or some kinda bullshYt.

Either way, I sent it out on July 5th and got it back the 13th and couldnt be happier. Just hope it stays on from now on, otherwise I may have to ask SW for some kind of compensation for being FORCED to use aftermarket sights for reliability. Good luck.

I talked to S&W today and they said I had to send it in for any repairs involving the front sight (which I had figured). So I thanked him and said no thanks. Im guessing the Glock front sight will be my next buy. Thanks guys.
