If the sites were installed using the impact method, then the vials were probably damaged. Make sure they are installed using a sight pusher.

Good Thoughts, Both sights are bieng sent back to Kimber for inspection will keep forum posted on their findings.
Thanks

Were these the ones offered by CDNN? I have looked at their ads, but read on another forum that the sights are old and have no "glow" left.

Night sights are best drifted in and out of their dovetails with the use of a "sight pusher." If you try to beat them in and out with a drift punch you run the risk of cracking the vials that hold the tritium gas. It is also highly unlikely that you'd get two bad sets of night sights as they generally glow from 10-12 years.

IWI (AKA PT Night Sights) also reloads night sights and they can use existing sights and remove and replace the tritium inserts. I had a set of PT night sights I got back in 1993 (inserted in Novak's on my 6906) and they replaced them FREE OF CHARGE. I only had to pay for shipping both ways. How do you like that customer service?

No these were purchased thru a good dealer (Kimber) These worked up to the time of Installation. I admit it doesn't look good for the Smithy.

The sights were "pushed" in and out by a press I have to send both sights back to Kimber for investigation. My thoughts are maybe a difference of a thousandth of a inch on size might create enough pressure to cause breakage of the sights. The sights glowed right up to installation and if the Gunsmith is reputable it leaves me to belive a problem with size.
