Frozen, Canned, Packaged Food that is Good

Pop Tarts...brown sugar cinnamon. Does that count?

Have you seen how many calories in ONE Pop Tart?

Ramen noodles with an egg stirred in.
Mac&Cheese with a can of tuna stirred in.

Ramen noodles is another of the "There's how much salt in these?" brands out there. I like to take diced ham and cook it up with the macaroni when making mac n cheese. When you strain the macaroni a lot of the salt has cooked out of the ham and goes with the water.

Pop Tarts are the spawn of Beelzebub. I have seen the light.

I now adore plain rice cakes with just a dab of all-natural, organic almond butter washed down with a gallon of purified drinking water.

All the horrible, unhealthy food mentioned in this thread, and a pop tart's caloric value is the only thing that concerns you?

Please bear in mind that this post is written in jest...as was my original post. Please don't think I am really offended on behalf of a Pop Tart. Insult Chef Boyardee though, and it's on!

I forgot this treat...

My local grocery store has their name branded swedish meatballs with gravy.

My local deli has frozen soup to go; chicken matzo ball, borsch, chicken barley mushroom.

Then there is Stouffer's lasagna or mac and cheese, and a local brand of breaded shrimp.

LOL. It just happens that Pop tarts and Ramen Noodles are a couple of the things I have actually looked at the nutrition info for. I should have added some smilies to indicate my sarcasm mode was on.;)

I bet Chef Boy R Dee has lots of salt though. (runs away jinking wildly)

We don't have a Chinese restaurant here. When I get a craving for a taste of Asian, PF Chang's has frozen entrees that are really good. 10 minutes in the skillet and done. Add white rice for a complete meal!

Actually there are quite a few products that are good, but need seasoning, or rinsing to remove excess salt. There are a lot of canned beans and peas that are good, but they all need some pork in them to taste right. Some frozen fruits can be really good. Some canned corn is really good, but I've had some that was terrible.
I've noticed canned potatoes. Who and why would you eat that?

'Cause when you are a bachelor and buy potatos you often end up with potato plants in your pantry. :D I used canned new potatos by slicing them up and cooking them in butter with salt & pepper. Served them with whatever steak or burger I was grilling up at the time.

I'll have to say that just like the slammed-banned canned Tamales I never tried canned spuds.
I think that I have tried frozen homefries.
And I probably throw away more potatoes than I eat.
Next time I see a can, I will try them.
