"Frustrated with Shield" Update

So I had the front sight aligned. The gunsmith said he had to move it approximately 1/16 to the left. Here were my first 8 shots today out of the shield after the sight adjustment. I can live with that now and feel much more confident carrying this gun on my side as an EDC. I'm not saying Im a great shot by no means, but I know how I can shoot, and how I was shooting with this gun from the get go was just not adding up. So, sometimes, again, it is not the shooter but the gun. Yes most of the time it is the shooter, I will agree with that, but after I put 600 rounds down range thinking it was me, it was to the point I just didn't feel that it was me. Thanks for everyones help and support. I love this forum, and I have now refell (if thats a word lol) in love with my Shield. I Know its not a target gun, but I needed to feel confident in my EDC and now I do. Happy Shooting everyone. I know I am lol.

That target is NOT getting back up! Good that you took the time to
tweak the Shield to where you've become effective with it. It's been my
EDC for some time now and I too feel confident with it. I haven't been plagued by the issues that so many have reported here. So far, it has
worked flawlessly.

Thank you for the follow up on your original post.
Having trust and confidence in a firearm is the key.
I have almost the same issue with my 9mm shield = low left.
The front sight appears centered on my slide, but could be just a tad off.

I have never seen an M&P or a Glock, that wasn't sighted properly to POA from the factory. If you are right handed and shooting to the left, or low left, you are probably jerking the trigger without even realizing it.
The gun should be checked off a sandbag with proper grip and trigger control and go from there first, before moving the sights.

Agksimon! In case you didn't read my other post regarding this, and I stated it above, I took it to 2 gunsmiths and they both confirmed that the sights were off to the right! Turns out it was a 1/16 of an inch off to the right. Yes, I understand, its "always the shooter and not the gun!" Bull S..t! I had put over 600 rounds down range with making sure I had proper technique, trigger control, shot the gun from a stationary position, had not 1, not 2, but 3 different people all shoot the gun with the same issue.. LEFT!!!!! So, Agksimon, my bad, it must still be me! I am not a rookie shooter! I have other guns that I have NEVER shot left with! I actually talked with S&W and they said their sights are just pressed in by a machine and are not tested, so THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF THE SIGHTS BEING MISALIGNED! Sorry if I am a little hostile, but I'm tired of hearing, "you suck, its NEVER the gun!" Sorry, in this case it was the gun.. IE the sights. Thanks for your time.

Nice shootin' there pardner. The results speak for themselves. I'm glad you got it set up properly and "refell in love." I've been fortunate that my Shield 9 was good from the factory. It's my EDC and very trustworthy. By the way, I like how your bullet holes made a face kind of. It's not really a happy face, but it seems appropriate.

Lol, I didn't even notice the resemblence to being a face. Good point ... and it was fun as hell shooting today! It is literally the first time I actually had fun and enjoyed shooting my shield since I've owned it. Until today, I wasn't having fun shooting it.

You're right, I didn't see your other post, or I wouldn't have made my post. I'm not saying gun manufacturers don't screw up, just that I've never seen a Glock or M&P that didn't shoot to POA at 7-10 yards, especially windage. I will say the M&P's have a tendency to shoot a few inches high at 25 yards and I installed a Dawson FO front sight on my 9C that was .020 taller to bring it to POA at that distance.
My wife's Shield9 is getting a set of Williams FO next week. I don't use that in competition, so I'm leaving the stock height on the front sight.

My goal every time I shoot is to be within the 9 circle. But, I was left with every single shot before I had the front sight adjusted. I don't need to be a marksman with my EDC, but I do need to be confident that when I pull the trigger it is going to be at POA and than it will POI. Thats all Im saying and I feel like I have that now. Now I am happy with my EDC gun.
