NOTE - Please read the entire thread, as the outcome of this issue satisfactorily resolved. This is a personal testimony about how my experience started out negative, but turned out to be very positive...

ORIGINAL POST

I just received a package from FS Reloading. It is not what I ordered, Here is my story…

In February I ordered the Lee Mold DC 358-150-1R from FS Reloading. When I ordered this mold, their website indicated that this double mold was available. They promptly deducted the money from my account.

I received an order confirmation and expected to receive a shipping confirmation email, but after several days, I checked the status of my order. The mold was back ordered. OK, that's cool, no problem.

After several weeks, I still did not receive any shipping notification. I checked and the item was still back ordered. So, I sent an email asking for a status. I received a reply saying that the order was backordered. No prob.

After a few weeks, I received an email stating that the item was once again in stock. So, I checked online and sure enough, the website indicated that both the 6 cavity and the one I ordered, the 2 cavity were once again in stock. I waited a few days.... Still no shipping notification.

So, I sent and email requesting a status. I received an email reply stating that back orders would be filled in the order that they had been ordered (if that makes sense - my explanation, that is). OK, I understand… I'm patient.

But, I thought well maybe I should give them a call and just check it out. I called mutliple times, but no answer. Mmmmm… I sent an email asking for an update and when they expected to fill the order. I received a reply that stated I could always cancel my order.

After several days, I decided to order a similar mold from Midway. I received that mold several days after placing my order. Fantastico! Incredible!

I sent an email requesting that FS Reloading cancel my order and return my money… I did this twice without reply. I called again… no answer. Mmmm, OK I guess I'll just wait and eventually I'll get my mold.

Today, I received the package from FS Reloading… boy was I excited… I opened the box and checked out the mold… wait… what is going on… this is not the mold I ordered… Instead I received Lee mold TL356-124-TC. Huh? I ordered a 38/357 mold… I checked online and this is a 9mm mold. Whiskey Tengo Foxtrot?

I believe in buyer beware… I will not be returning this mold as I would be losing time and money. Not worth it.

The morale of my story… order from who you want, but beware...

Everybody has a bad day. I have never ordered from them but as usual in life, cheaper is often for a reason. Thx for the headsup.

Thanks for the comments. I hadn't thought about contacting my bank. I'll give it some thought.

I agree, anyone can have a bad day.

It's too bad that communication with this company is so difficult.

Thanks again.

I will never understand why this happens-

Suppliers must understand that their on-line business activities are just like face to face sales-with one important exception.
On-line purchasers have the ability to express their disgust with poor sales practices. They do this on-line as well.
I hope the situation is rectified by FS-Reloading, they should realize that they don't need all the bad press

This happened to me last Spring-- ordered a generator with assorted other stuff, oil, etc. Never came, I finally called, would be another month-- fast forward, nothing shipped. Bought one locally, almost, had to drive to PA-- :( Left on the trip, had already missed Spring in the desert etc. Kept calling, still nothing-- finally called and ask to speak to their accountant. On hold-- someone finally comes one the line. I explained once again, money taken right away means shipped right away as per Visa rules-- Was told I would have refund in a couple days, which I did. These people had sterling reviews-- you just never know-- Never had this problem before, and I buy plenty online-- I consider myself lucky I got my money back at all-- on a side note, I was just about ready to drive to Illinois and confront them-- wife said in my mood that might not be the best of ideas-- I expect She was right. :)

You have convinced me to contact FS Reloading by email once again, and at least give them the opportunity to correct the problem. I'll let you know what happens.

If that fails, I'll contact LEE directly.

In the future, Titan sounds like the way to go for future LEE products.

Thanks.

I do not dispute the OP's statements but it is only one report so lets not blast FS Reloading over a single post on the web.Lets see how they respond to his e mail or phone call.

Stuff happens.

Do a Google search of reviews, as with most things there are good and bad;)

I'm in somewhat of the same boat with another company, awaiting my next CC bill to see if a refund went through. If not, the company gets 24 hours to confirm a correction or I call the Visa card company.

I have ordered from FS several times in the last 5 years. I have always gotten good service from them. Hopefully this is a fluke. Companies need to remember that one dissatisfied customer can cost them other customers in this day of the internet.

Too bad that FS Reloading made a bad impression on a first time (I think) customer. I suspect that if the OP would take the extra time to thoroughly document the problems in a polite but firm email, someone there would respond appropriately.

FWIW, I've bought lots of stuff from FS Reloading. Never had a problem.

FS Reloading does seem to go out of their way to make it hard to reach them. IIRC they do not even take phone orders.

I've had communication with the owner due to issues I've had in the past. He was not too pleasant.

However, I will say this. I have bought many things from them in the past and I'll continue to shop there until I see a reason not to.

Between FS and Titan you can get just about anything you need from Lee's line. And FS is *very* good about either stocking or at least having a way to order even the smallest part for almost any Lee product. That has been very useful to me in the years I've been reloading.

k, I sent FS a query about my order and explained the problem (there is a feature on the FS site to check the status of an order and send them a message about the order). I sent this last Monday (it is now Saturday), and I have not heard back (I know that this method of communication works, because they replied to me several times when I used this method to communicate when the item was backordered, but no reply this time). I have tried calling multiple times, but no one answers, and my calls do not roll to a phone answering system. So, I am unable to leave a voice message.

I will wait until this coming Monday before I contact LEE directly and explain my problem to the manufacturer. I figure that will give FS a full week to reply before I take this next step.

I've ordered plenty of stuff from other online vendors - Midway, eReplacement, etc. Never have I encountered a vendor that you are unable to contact, or won't reply. It's sorta weird.

OK, I have an update... final post to this thread.

First, I want to say that I now have a very positive view of FS Reloading.

I spoke at length to the new owner about my issue. He was very understanding and motivated to resolve the problem to my satisfaction. I can't say enough nice things about my experience and based on this experience and their quick handling of my problem, I plan on using FS Reloading again, in the future.

This may or may not shed some light, From another forum.

Also if you go to FS home page, they have moved to Utah.

FS Reloading is OPEN!

Our new home in Cedar City, Utah is open for business. We are currently shipping to US destinations only. We expect to resume international shipments by July 1, 2016.

"Dear FS Reloading Customers,

My name is Jonathan Carter, General Manager of Pictor Design, LLC, the web hosting provider for FS Reloading. I regret to inform you that the owner of Factory Sales, LLC and FS Reloading, Greg Ehlenbach has been suffering from declining health for some time and is no longer able to operate his business.

Pictor Design is owed a great deal of money by FS Reloading. While reviewing the situation, I was dismayed to find a large number of customers waiting for orders that haven't been shipped. I didn't want to see FS Reloading simply close its doors leaving me unpaid and you unserved.

Fortunately we reached an agreement with Greg Ehlenbach on June 1, 2016 for Pictor Design to acquire many of the assets related to fsreloading.com. As a result, Pictor Design has taken over the operration of the FS Reloading web site.

John Lee of Lee Precision has graciously agreed to help us and you who are owed Lee Products by shipping the past due orders direct to each customer. You will receive a tracking number as soon as Lee Precision can process and ship the orders.

Now that we have direct control of the web site, you can expect steady improvements in service and support.

My staff and I are excited to be taking over fsreloading.com. Many of us are avid hunters, shooters and reloaders just like you. We have built and maintained shooting industry web sites since 1994 and look forward to now serving your reloading needs. We greatly appreciate your support and patience during this transition and look forward to great things coming soon.

Jonathan Carter, General Manager Pictor Design, LLC."
