After did extensive reading on Century made CETME's, and PTR's offerings. And came to the realizations that I am better off looking for a Early Century build CETME with an Stainless Steel receiver if I was to avoid all the problems.
I bought this CETME like new unfired.
This CETME has Earlier Stainless Steel receiver, which has much better quality build( with new or like new surplus parts), Also has better weld.
the charging handle has play in it when in upright position(1/8" or so)
- The Buttstock come off fairly easy.
The Barrel is mostly bright, with sharp rifling, there is one inch patch of forest near the muzzle, it should clean up more with some shooting.
- the bolt gap is at 0.012"
- the bolt head is new at 1.835"(front to back)
front sight is not canted
this CETME has all new locking piece, firing pin and springs
new bolt carrier, All these parts are replaced by me from new old stock parts.
again bolt gap is 0.012
this CETME is all sorted out with none of the Century's CETME's problems.
Comes with two 20 round and one 5 rounds mag and Cetme Bayonet
If you are looking for a CETME, this is the one.
$599 shipped to your FFL from my FFL, USPS money order only please
or would consider trade for a Sig P226 in 9mm, Walther P99AS in 9mm or H&K USPC in 9mm, or 9mm revolvers. Thanks for looking.
