Up for sale is this almost new Browning Hi Power by Ted Yost.
I am the third owner. I have not fired this pistol, the second owner which I bought it from did not fire this pistol, it basically sat in his safe for the last 6 or 7 years. I do not know how many rounds the first owner fired. From visual inspection, I'm GUESSING less than 100 rounds if that much.
This gun was built prior to 2005 and the current Yost shop does not have the build sheet. Here is the easily seen external and other obvious modifications:
Heinie black rear sight
Black front post sight - dovetailed
Ambi safety - custom shaped
Serrated top of slide
Serrated back of slide
Checkered front strap 40LPI
Partial checkered front strap (matches the front strap - 40LPI)
Custom grips (unknown manufacturer)
Trigger (the blueing turned purple - fairly normal - just look at several small parts on Ed Brown's 1911s)
Custom hammer - trigger job
Beveled magazine well
No magazine disconnect
Reliability modifications
One magazine
Nice blued finish on entire gun
The closest current conversion of the Hi Power from the Heirloom guys is the SRT package, but it doesn't have the checkering nor additional serration, and several years wait. It can be yours in a week !
