I picked up this belt and holster combination a couple of weeks ago. No idea who the maker is. The initials on the holster strap are I believe W E R. Maybe the initials of the maker, or the initials of who the rig was made for. It has 38 caliber loops, so a pre-war 38/44 with stags seems a good choice to fill the Texas Jockstrap holster.
All stitching appears to be by hand, so I am guessing it was made by a very talented hobby leather worker. The flower carving is well executed, as is the brown whip stitch on the holster welt. A nice sterling buckle set from Mexico holds it together. And the big plus is that it fits my 61 year old waist with room to spare. I am quite happy to have found this one.
