I decided not to get rid of it. The responses from this community did help me in my decision. Getting a second opinion does help, :o

Well Today, a funny thing happened. I was at the itty bitty junk store and ran across this firearms accessory. What are the odds that a WAY WAY outta the WAY! little store in North central Arkansas would have a, If my memory serves: a 1970's JETT & SMITH pellet conversion for a 6 inch Smith .41 remington magnum. I mean COME ON!! The thing is pristine, NIB, YA! I took it that someone or thing was looking out for me and I bought it. I think this (store owner) probably went some where and bought an estate or business fore-closer stock. He had three big boxes of these things just dumped in there. I swear that I read about these along time ago when Handloader / Rifle magazines were blk and white and ads were text not images with goofy stuff all over the place. Anyway, I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna crack it open and use it. I don't think it will ever be a sought after firearms accessory. Just something neat. It fit's nicely with my other passion, finely made precision Air rifles. On to the pics...

By the way if any of you are interested, I'd be happy to go back and look and see if their is a unit for your firearm. They had Dan Wesson ones, Ruger Ones, Browning ones, and Colt. Happy to help you guys, because you helped me. Thank you:D

Since I'm so uninformed

Please describe their use and a little history, I may want them all. Just kidding but I am interested in learning their specific use and could want a couple of there are any left for a S&W revolver, any caliber.

These are in essence, barrel liners to convert your firearm to shoot quality pellets to create another shooting format for your firearm. The barrel liner is inserted into your firearms barrel and seats with numerous o-rings. Then you take the supplied blank cartridges and prime them with Match Large Pistol Primers. Then seat a GOOD quality pellet (NOT WALLY WORLD Junk pellets) and load the firearm magazine or cylinder. If you have a lee loader in your caliber you already have everything you need to load really fast, but its not necessary to use the device. Then plink away at distances under 20 yards. Now remember the accuracy of these back in to 70's with 70's pellets and primers was alot rougher. Good match pellets and primers today can probably half the statical precision of then. I will do a full review and video documentation over on the James Kitching's Yellow Air gun forum. It's the be all end all place for Precision Air gun info. THese were first advertised in the 1970's in mags like Handloader and Rifle. Their is a New company making them now, But this one is an original. Back in the 70's people had a hard time using these with common sense. Read the directions and follow, it easy. I believe that the stand by accuracy of 1" at 15 yards can be improved upon greatly.
