I'm sure they will, they have a pretty good scallop it seems. I'll definitely be checking even though I carry speed strips most of the time.

I'm curious to know the weight of the grips as compared to other J-frame type grips.

those look pretty good, not crazy about the pinkish red looking ones, but the black ones look alright.

Nice.

Are there any G10 grips for N-Frame revolvers? Wouldn't mind getting some for my 627 PC.

Rats! Those are awesome looking grips (and VZ has a really good reputation with the 1911 crowd) but they are two finger grips. I use three finger grips 98% of the time nowdays with my J frames.

I asked them about future plans when I called them to order a set. They said they had no immediate plans to do anything else besides J-frames.

Maybe if enough people buy the J-frame grips, it will encourage them to expand into the S&W revolver grip market.

To the best of my knowledge, VZGrips is the only company making G10 grips for S&W revolvers. I called Hogue and they said they had no plans on offering G10 grips for revolvers.

They're very nice looking. I'm eagerly awaiting a review.

I hope you guy that have ordered have better luck than me, however. I've been 10 weeks and counting on a set of 1911 grips...

That sucks! I've already received email confirmation and tracking from USPS, but the USPS tracking sucks compared to UPS/FEDEX. Hopefully they'll be here in the next couple days or first of next week.

I have these VZ grips; they're quite nice. They're alternating layers of G10 and carbon fiber.

I just bought a pair of Black Cherry grips for my Rohrbaugh a couple of weeks ago, and I am way more impressed seeing them in person and how they have completely changed the feel of the R9s for the better.

Still, I hadn't even considered VZ's for my J-frame Smiths.
I guess now I need to reconsider... :)

Sonny/everyone,

I got my grips yesterday and stuck them on my 640 no dash. Unfortunately I do not have pictures. However, suffice to say that they look just as good as Sonny's.

Two observations: First, they are heavy. I feel a noticable difference in weight between the G10 and the Hogue Bantums. I don't have a scale I can use. However, I would put the weight difference at almost two ounces.

Second, the fronstrap on the bottom finger groove comes to a bit of an edge. I think I understand why they did this, to reduce material and weight. However, I think that may be uncomfortable when shooting. I will have to wait until I can get to the range to confirm this.

Overall a very well made grip. VZ Grips should be commended for taking this project on.

I really need to try and find some way to find the weight difference between the VZ G10's and the Hogue Bantums.

I tried Safariland, HKS, and SL Variant speedloaders...they all clear without a hitch. I took a tape measure and using a standard MK1 eyeball they look to be an inch at the widest point.

I just got mine the other day. I too thought they were "heavy" for their size. Overall I'd give them a "meh." Mine have a bit of a gap at the front and they're definitely not "the most comfortable J Frame grips you have held." Think I'm going to return them and go with Ahrends Round Butt Smooth. Had a pair of those on a 638 and really liked them.
