Galco Combat Master and M&P Compact?

I was looking to use this holster for both my Full Size as well as Compact, but for some odd reason Cabela's website only lists this as fitting the full size gun. "The Galco Combat Master Holster – Black, Item: IK-231338, does not have any applications for the S&W M&P 9/40c, compact pistol."

Is there any special (or obvious, but not yet to me) reason not to do so? The IWB Galco Kingtuk holster holds the Full Size and the Compact just fine, and I've tried putting my M&P9C into the Combat Master holster as well. I'm baffled why it is not recommended, what am I missing?

It looks like it will work just fine, the leather will just extend 3/4 beyond the end of the compact's barrel. The only difference between a full size and a compact is the length of the grip and barrel/slide.

One note is if you carry the compact a lot, over time the excess length of the leather could lose some of its shape from rubbing against chairs, car seats, etc.

That is a great point, that it wouldn't be good for the holster over time, and could lead to it losing it's shape in the empty barrel part. Thanks, I should have thought of that...
