hi s&w fans,
I purchased the galco ankle glove for my s&w 642-1, and it fits like a glove, and you do not even know that you have it on A+A+A+. my question, it is in the holster very, very tight, no its not going to come out, but I have to really give it a very hard pull to get it out. is that the norm?
thanks.....sw dan

Howdy,

The short answer is that it is normal. Consider that they were designed with the idea that they were being used by police officers to carry a second gun. They have to retain the gun while the officer is running, climbing, kicking wrestling etc. Without a thumb break, the fit has to be snug with a good tug required for the draw. Your holster sounds like it fits correctly.

Sounds like a nice rig to me. I have a twenty year old Renegade ankle rig that is about worn out. I'd buy another, but Renegade seems to have gone out of business. Might give the ankle glove a try.

New Galco Ankle Glove owner here, just got it last week and have worn it all day today (going on 14 hours straight). Very comfortable thus far once I figured out how to position it and tighten it for a perfect fit.

I have the thumb break model as it's a BUG (one of two today, since I'm just getting used to wearing it).
