Anyone else swap out their plastic rod and stock spring for the Galloway Precision assembly? I went with the polished stainless rod and standard 17lb spring, and really like how it feels.
The first thing I noticed was that it was easier to put the slide assembly together. The tail of the guide rod fits much better and is doesn't slide around like the factory plastic rod did.
The second thing I noticed was the sound of the of the weapon changed when you rack the slide back...it sounds metallic, more like it should.
The third thing I noticed is accuracy increased slightly...but that may be more me than the handgun.
I think it was $30 well spent.
Anyhow, here's the link to their Sigma and SD product page.
