Just installed the Galloway kit in my SD9VE and wanted to post my results. I purchased the kit with the sear spring included.
Installation was as one might expect except for the fact that the galloway doesn't have a slave pin included for reassembly.
Sear spring assembly can be a chore but with some patience it will go right back together. I suggest the use of a vise or other clamping system to hold the sear block.
Trigger pull before swapping parts using RCBS trigger pull gauge - 8.0 lbs.
Trigger pull after swapping parts using RBS trigger pull gauge - 7.0 lbs.
Needless to say, I was somewhat disappointed in the final results and will look to replace the Galloway with the Apex.
The weapon did fire flawlessly with numerous mixed loads afterwards. I did take and polish the striker block, the striker, the sear, and the trigger bar before firing but after initial measurements. It is now like a "Kahr" trigger. Long but smooth as silk. I will do a direct comparison to the Apex when it gets here.
