Well after many phone calls with the store manager then the gun manager and then the lead gun salesman we all finally came to a solution, that is to treat the customer RIGHT. They agreed to take the gun back for full credit, so i decided to just get another m&p 15-22. the new one is of the DSX lot and the instructions do have a red stamp on it and on page 9 the recomended ammo is listed, also the extractor looks to be installed very solid and last the ejector is indeed in the correct location, but sadly no blue springs.Whenever weather and time permits i will give a range report.pghrich

WOW! That's the second or third 15-22 having been returned to the retailer reported on this board. Glad it worked out the way you wanted. Sure is odd to be hearing about retailers taking back firearms... but I guess this must be going on more than I knew of.

I have 13.5k rounds of Fed Bulk Pack thru my 15-22. No problems other than 1% mag-snags. Never sent back to S&W for anything. Until the 'blue' spec rifle has proved to cycle well with a variety of ammo, it might be worth considering what ammo has proved to cycle well.

Glad you were able to work things out and you have a new 15-22. Does yours have the flash hider?

no

unfortionatly they did not have them in stock, i would gladely have paid the additional cost, but, i can always put one on later.

Ive found Gander Mtn to be pretty accomidating to me and my 15-22.
When i thought i had an issue with the gun trajectory being off and unable to sight any scope in on it, Which i soon learned here that it was me and i needed to learn a new skill. Gander still offered to send it back too S&W themselves for that matter and they didn't think it was the gun either, They were right and i was I who was just uninformed.

I do generally find them way over priced, But once i got to know them i was getting discounts on optics that rivaled and beat online prices.
